Okay, so here is the finished product, sometimes it works best to work your way backwards, especially when the end result is so pretty!

 

I often lump my oldest in with “the kids”, but he is eighteen and soon to graduate from High School and will be off to College in the Fall.  “Once your baby always your baby?”  I know the Mummas reading this “get” it!

He built this from the ground up in record time!  I didn’t hold a stopwatch over him, but I’d say he was done in about half an hour.  I’m thinking the coop manufacturer would LOVE feedback on ease of assembly!!!

 

What they WOULDN’T like to hear is that I find them seriously delusional if they think ten to fifteen full sized chickens can safely call this their forever home!  So, the search is on for free plans for a pallet based coop, alas, that is the subject of a future post, so stay tuned friends!
